The cause for based on the etiology behind defect or any event that would predispose to dehisce. Globally accepted option assessing CS transvaginal ultrasonography non-pregnant uterus. Objective: To determine diagnostic accuracy lower thickness≤1.6mm in prediction patients with previous one LSCS who are undergoing repeat after trial labour taking intraoperative findings as gold standard. Material and methods: This cross sectional study was conducted Services Hospital, Lahore 6 months. Non probability consecutive sampling technique used include women at 36-38 weeks were asked get their TVS done thickness. Women thickness>1.6mm identified. Their confirmed. All data entered analyzed SPSS version 20. Results: mean age 29.87±6.07 years. emergency 599(49.1%) elective 621(50.9%) patients. sensitivity, specificity & 98.31%, 99.05% 98.69% respectively. Background: Risk of scar defect is inversely correlated with lower uterine segment thickness. The study aims to assess the diagnostic accuracy of sonographic measurement of the lower uterine segment thickness near term in predicting uterine scar defect in women with prior Caesarean section and ascertain the best cut-off value for predicting uterine rupture in our country. Methods: This observat...

Uterine scar dehiscence following laparoscopic myomectomy rarely occurs but can compromise both maternal and fetal well-being in subsequent pregnancy. We here present two cases of pregnancy complicated by preterm birth that resulted from uterine scar dehiscence following laparoscopic myomectomy. First case was a nulligravida who had scar dehiscence at 26 weeks of gestation after having a laparo...
متن کاملTreatment and repair of uterine scar dehiscence during cesarean section
The incidence of cesarean section (c-section) has increased worldwide. Because the major risk factor for uterine scar dehiscence (USD) is a previous c-section, the rate of this complication has also increased. Its clinical significance and management strategies are unclear. Here, we discuss USD particularly pertaining to its surgical treatment.
